- Ice Punch
[/SET]

[SET DESCRIPTION]
One of the hardest hitting Pokemon out there; with his wide array of physical attacks, and 2 of the best STAB's in the game, CB Gallade is always a threat and never to be overlooked. Close Combat and Pyscho Cut will be your main form of attacking, these attacks will do a massive amount of damage to any poke switching in that doesn't resist the two. Night Slash will be this pokes main way to take down Cresselia, and Dusknoir if he ever if found in either situation. Ice Punch is there for flyers who expect to brush of a Close Combat, and for the 3 Dragons. The Combination of Close Combat and Night Slash notably hit all Pokemon other than 2 for at least neutral, the 2 being Heracross and Toxicroak. Speaking of Heracross, who unlike Gallade, is walled by Gliscor and Weezing, Gallade can hold his own against these two, by threatening them with Ice Punch and Pyscho Cut respectively.

[/SET DESCRIPTION]

[OTHER OPTIONS]
Going back to Gallade's wide movepool, one has many options to use on there set depending on what Gallade needs to deal with. Gallade could use Leaf Blade to help if you are Swampert weak, or weak to any other Bulky water. X-Scissor can be used if you want to cover your Psychic type Pokemon better (Celebi and Cresselia in general), as it has more Base Power than Night Slash. Thunder Punch and Stone Edge are also options if you plan on having him be your Gyarados and Skarmory counter, but seeing little use otherwise.

[/OTHER OPTIONS]

[OFFENSIVE COMBINATIONS]
For Gallade to work to his fullest, he needs a pokemon that can switch in on Cresselia, and Dusknoirs. Raikou, and Jirachi do the job wonderfully. They can seyt up subs annoying status's that would potentially ruin Gallade's sweeping abilities. Along with setting up their subs, the 2 can both stat up, (ie: Calm Mind) making themselves even more deadly. Blissey can also work well with Gallade, as Gengar can come in on a predicted Close Combat, and force him to switch out. Blissey also has the ability to heal fellow team members with Aromatherapy, allowing Gallade to stay in on more Walls who rely on status to stop him.
[/OFFENSIVE COMBINATIONS]

[STRATEGIC COMBINATIONS]
For Gallade to use his sweeping ability to his best, a layer or two of Spikes, and Stealth Rocks set up would help him deal with pokes who he is barely able to OHKO or 2HKO otherwise. An example of that is Hippowdon who lives barely without any Spikes or Stealth Rocks in play.

[/STRATEGIC COMBINATIONS]

[SET COUNTERS]
A reliable counter to this set would be a Spiritomb, and Sableye. With their unique typing, Ghost/Dark, they can come in on 2 of the attacks without taking any damage. The other 2 attacks, being Night Slash, and Ice Punch will not be doing much damage to the 2 if they are somewhat bulky. Spiritomb can come in on the attacks and start stating up with Calm Mind, or just cripple Gallade with Will-o-Wisp. Sableye on the other hand can come in and stat up by Nasty Plotting.
