0 | The way a friend of mine put it, and I agree- regardless of whether or not you think he really did things to children, or the fact that he became a very disturbing individual, the guy made some really freaking good songs. There's no denying that he was the shit. Plenty of musicians have died, and have one way or another established themselves as despicable human beings (in one man's opinion or another's), and while their reputation may be tarnished, their hits are not. The creator of ferraris could have been discovered to have been a serial rapist and people would not stop buying those cars. IMO it's very closeminded to equate the product to the misdeed, even if the stigma that formed is understandable due to the general lack of forgiveness in human nature. |
