0 | That Cyrus battle one reminds me of what FRLG did to R/B's music. I've heard some pretty good MPC stuff, but I hated that. Horrible IMO. |

0 | Well, Mario Paint's a very limited program, and it's difficult to squeeze all of the different melodies, harmonies and percussion into the five note per line limit. Not to mention there's only two bass instruments in the original soundfont (which makes it hard to do songs with many diverse bass clef instruments like Galactic Boss Cyrus). I thought the song was very well done considering the instruments at hand. If anything, you have to admit the Yoshi part near the end was impressive. :P Also, Slowflake, I made that video nearly a year ago! o_o |

0 | If I may be pessimistic for a moment, a mansion built out of mud is still mud. Cyrus' boss theme is not only my favorite song in the game, it's among the better/more memorable battle themes in the series. The MP version was such a far cry from it that I couldn't stand it. If nothing else I might be a bit more critical when it comes to something I really liked. There've been much better compositions of catchier tunes, like the river game in SMRPG; Cyrus' theme is just one of those pieces you can't retain the awesomeness of. |
