After staying up till 4AM then waking up at 7AM to finish up a problem set due at 11AM, I had a strange dream. Normally, my dreams are outlandish and revolve around something that happened earlier in the day/week (i.e. if I had cake last night, I probably might have a dream about cake).

So, this morning instead, I woke up with the fear of someone hacking my computer. Someone I don't even know that well either. O__o;; I have no idea why, but my mind conjured up this world in which my computer was a plaything for a hacker named Doom, who for some reason I was acknowledging as OminousDoom.

I suppose the theme of hacked computer might've arisen after I saw my computer randomly restart on itself from the corner of my eye while I was doing homework. Though, I have no idea how I tied in OD with it. *shrugs*

Yeah, pretty much a pointless post. Though, I thought it might've been interesting/laughable for someone to read.

Have any of you guys had weird dreams that involved any of the TLF members/people you never met in life before?

People I've never met that are also centralized in the dream? No.

And in my experience, if your computer "randomly" crashed and restarted, it's going to do it again in the near future, and you're going to want to look into it.

I never remember my dreams, and maybe it's for the best, because sometimes my mother does, and it's always ****ed up. And when I and/or my brother are involved, it's never in our current, early-twenties forms, but as children. Yikes.

Oh, and a few months ago, they said on the radio that Japanese scientists were trying to invent a machine that projects dreams on a screen. Their first thought? Something about a new age of glory for the porn industry.

Yeah, that sounds about right.

Until people watch something horrific or disgusting that they dreamt of and immediately forgot.

I suppose I should say it wasn't necessarily crashing. My computer had been on for a few days and wanted to update by restarting. I had been denying it that opportunity when I would click the update screen off (you know, the one that pops up, waits for five minutes, then restarts on its own unless you say otherwise). So, it's not a problem. =P It's more or less functioning correctly in this case.

Slowflake, does that mean you tell your mother your dreams? Or maybe I misread what you said.

No, it's the reverse. Sometimes she talks about how nonsensical her dreams are during meals. She's right though, the subconscious really is confusing at times.

Confuse nothing, I'm telling you, if the Japanese ever made a prototype of that thing and hooked it up to my brain, it would project stuff ten times worse than Pain.

It wouldn't compensate for the other dreams consisting of the nightmares I can remember or anything erotic.

I've had several dreams involving Ruesap and Fantasty :/

No of course I don't mind telling them again. Well the most recent with Fantasty was that I was him, yet somehow I was still Dutch. Anyway, he was a scientist and apparently a giant meteor was going to strike the planet and destroy everything. Also somehow Fantasy's lab was in the mountains and I don't even know if anyone else was alive. Also there was this thing I built that allowed me to go back in time in case I failed to stop the meteor the first time. So blah blah blah some time later I want to test this time portal device thing. It sucked because it was supposed to erase my memory. DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE TO GO BACK IN TIME IN A DREAM AND ACTUALLY FORGET? IT'S PAINFUL!

and with ruesap my dreams usually involve him being in school with me, that genius bastard

oh yeah my other dreams, they're really, REALLY messed up. But then again so am I

Most of my dreams are screwed straight to hell and I usually don't like talking about them as people inevitably laugh no matter what it was, even if it was something that scared the living hell outta me, but whatever.

I remember a lot of my dreams when I was younger revolved around something terrible happening or about to happen or my being pursued by something, but whenever I tried to warn anybody or anything, I found I couldn't talk. I actually had a dream recently where a guy was bleeding to death and no one noticed him except me but no one could hear my pleas for help.

And then there are all my dreams about the apocalypse, and plenty of my being horribly mutilated, and so forth. I do remember once falling off a cliff twice in succession and hitting the ground rather painfully each time.

Am I weird?

AHH damn I hate those dreams where something is wrong and you can't talk or move. That reminds me of this one where a volcano erupted in the middle of a mall (don't ask) and everyone was running and I was like walking and I felt super heavy and the worst thing is it was in 3rd person :/

AP, I take it you've done the "wake up suddenly with a violent shake" before, and just be laying there flat on the bed? I've done that a small handful of times after falling dreams.

Several years ago I somehow managed to sit upright in my sleep, on my pillow, so that my back was to the wall and close to it. As I snapped out of it, I threw my head back. Wham. God that frigging HURT.

FUN FACT: I sleep with my door locked, not for my own safety, but I prefer sleeping in the comfort of BUTT NEKKIDNESS.. and I have the habit of kicking off all my covers in my sleep! I was also blessed with family and friends that never knock before opening the door.

Strangely, the only person that didn't have a problem with that was my g/f. Everyone else is just.. odd?

GB, I have those "heavy" dreams a lot, though it's more like I'm trying to run as fast as I can away from something and my legs aren't picking up the pace.

I also have dreams where I'm driving someone else's car around a really familiar part of town with busy intersections and hills, and the brakes don't work. Of course the car has to be moving fast =P

I once had a dream where I was on a field trip at school (it was about the 4th grade when I had it) and I had to go to the bathroom, so from there, in reality my parents heard noise coming from my room, so my dad came in to my about to piss all over the floor, he picked me up and carried me to the bathroom while I (still sleeping) was screaming let me go I have to go pee. The worst part was I didn't remember any part of reality.
