Believe it or not, that Magcargo single handedly destroyed a Mewtwo.) 0 | The thing I don't understand is how Magcargo took a hit of anything and didn't die. This is the final Mysterial battle, right? I don't remember him having any physical attacks at all, and that means anything goes through its weaker special defense of 80 (and 50 base HP!). And it's raining, just for that extra kick in the nuts. Speaking of nuts, it takes quite a nutsack to bring not only only one uber (though if I had to take only one uber I'd bring Darkrai too, if only for double-target Dark Void goodness), but a Pokémon that makes most NUs look like Arceus in comparison. You weren't really trying, were you? But... how did Magcargo top Mewtwo (IN THE ****ING RAIN), anyway? Isn't that, like, physically impossible? |

0 | Honestly I brought Magcargo for lulz. I had a plan, albeit a plan that counted on both Dark Voids connecting, which if it wasn't already obvious, did not succeed. Darkrai and Ambipom led and could have efficiently killed all of them but goddamn Dark Void only put Kyogre to sleep. When Mewtwo's speed advantage over all other ubers bites you in the ass, it really bites you in the ass. It went like this: 1: Ambipom fakes out Kyogre, Mewtwo Thunders Darkrai for about 65% (no par), Dark Void only puts Kyogre down. 2: Mewtwo of course finishes Darkrai off, Ambipom Double Hits Kyogre to death. Manaphy arrives. I send in Heracross (CB sadly.) 3: Wanting to at least Fake Out again, I switched Ambipom out for Magcargo. Mewtwo OHKOs Heracross with Psychic. Manaphy Calm Minds. 4. Mewtwo is Faked Out, my trump card Specscargo Overheats Mewtwo for about 80%, and Manaphy Calm Minds again. 5. Ambipom is offed by Psychic and Maggy finishes off Mewtwo. Manaphy Ice Beams him to the HP you see in the photo. Why Overheat? Because even with the rain it was still the strongest attack he had (amongst Earth Power, Ancientpower and HP Ice.) All I needed was the god damn Dark Void to hit both of them and Mewtwo would've been quickly Dark Pulsed to death. With Hydration taking place at the end of turns, I could still maintain a constant sleep status on Manaphy. Barring that CB Heracross could at least get some solid blows in. Edit: And for what it's worth, I've beaten Mysterial without any ubers plenty of times, and while it doesn't take a specially-tailored team for the job it does require some high-end guys (read: Blissey.) Without Blissey I resort to movelocking Kyogre onto Water Spout or Thunder and go from there. I raped him with a Specs Lapras that way. |
