Just got my SAT scores back today

My first attempt was major fail. I got a 1540 because I took it nonchalantly. When I got my scores the first time, I was like...damn...that's gay.

I tried again a year later. Didn't study for it at all. Took it a little bit more seriously and got a 1820 :D

I know that's not genius or anything, that's probably an above average score, but I'm damn happy with it since an 1800 was my goal.

How freaking high do the scores go now? And what subjects have they added?

When I was in high school (graduated '01) the highest you could get was a 1600 and the subjects included only Math and English. Getting a 1540 back then would have been incredible.

Do your schools still have Regents exams?

There's an essay portion now.

I got 1840 on my PSATs, I'm happy with that.

I took the SATs three years ago, as 'practice'. It was surprisingly easy, actually. :S

I got a 2040 the last time I took my SAT; I improved my Critical Reading and Writing scores by 50 and 100, respectively, but somehow scored 10 points worse on the Math section.

Repto, the scores changed to a cap of 2400 since they added the writing section...I think.

And I assumed that everyone here would get higher scores than me...except HH. 2000 seems a little...fishy tbh. ;)

Good luck and congrats to you guys~! :3

I took the "newer" version of the SAT like two or three years ago, but I remember the sucky scoring I got (would've been better if I actually studied and took it over again like most people do...). XD;;

Though, hardly anybody at Stanford asks anybody else about their SAT scores - I guess because we can assume a good chunk of them got a perfect like my friends Angela and Lucas, but I'm one of the rarer students who scored below the 2k mark with a 1970. XD It's always the math portion too! I aced those literary sections with relative ease however.

Wait, how many sophomores/juniors do we have here?

Apparently a lot more than I originally thought.
