0 | Hello everyone. My name's Ryanide. I may be new to these forums, but I'm by no means a Pokemon noob, having been active on the Gamefaqs and Smogon boards. However, I want to give Libelldra a try because it seems like a more intelligent environment than Gamefaqs while still being a lot more friendly than Smogon. I've always enjoyed playing games competitively, especially Pokemon, which I consider to be a game of infinite replay value. My hobbies include animating and drawing, and I have a DA page where I showcase my works. In general, I design characters in the anthropomorphic style, not because I'm a furry, but because I genuinely believe that non-human characters have a certain intrigue to them that makes them very appealing as characters. My favorite Pokemon, OU as it is, would have to be Weavile for its looks and usefulness. I was also one of the people who predicted that Weavile would be awesome as soon as it was revealed. Of course I could never have predicted just how good it would have been since back then the special/physical split hadn't been announced. This is one of the reasons why I like Weavile so much. Competitively, I don't really care if I win or lose, just so long as I get to try out interesting strategies and teams. I'm a huge fan of baton pass and other such gimmicks as well as "hit or miss" teams with high risk high reward. I am quite picky about my Pokemon though, and you'll never see me using certain Pokemon that I hate. Salamence for example (never mind stats, I don't like it's design!). Anyway, I hope this site can provide for me what Smogon and Gamefaqs failed to do: a helpful environment that's both competitive and enjoyable. However my favorite Weavile set is: Weavile@focus sash jolly nature counter night slash/pursuit ice shard/swords dance ice punch A nasty surprise for all of Weavile's physical counters. I feel it needs ice shard to surprise things like Crobat and Yanmega, but you could put swords dance there too I suppose. |
