Standard Clauses

No Ubers
This means that the following Pokemon are banned, unless specified otherwise.

Mew
Mewtwo
Ho-oh
Lugia
Latias
Latios
Groudon
Kyogre
Rayquaza
Deoxys
Dialga
Palkia
Giratina
Manaphy
Darkrai
Arceus
Wobbufett

**Latias and Latios are Uber with or without Soul Dew.

Sleep Clause
Only one Pokemon on the opponent's team may be put to sleep at once. Rest and Effect Spore do not count towards this limit.

Evasion Clause
These moves are banned:

Double Team
Minimize

OHKO Clause
These moves are banned:

Horn Drill
Guillotine
Fissure
Sheer Cold

**OHKO Clause and Evasion Clause are sometimes grouped together as "OHKO / Evasion Clause. If you see this, it means that Evasion Clause and OHKO Clause are both in effect.

Species Clause
Only one of any Pokemon may be on the same team. If they have different Pokedex Numbers, they can be on the same team. Simple as that.

Non Standard Clauses that are sometimes included

Item Clause
Only one of each Held Item may be on each team.

No "Hax" Items
This bans Items that rely on luck.

Brightpowder
King's Rock
Razor Claw
Focus Band
Quick Claw
Wide Lens
Zoom Lens
Scope Lens

**The last 3 are used occasionally, but not all of the time.

Self KO Clause
Mainly used in tournaments. It is used to prevent ties. If both participants are down to their last Pokemon, neither may use these moves:

Perish Song
Selfdestruct
Explosion
Destiny Bond

If these are used and are successful, the user is considered the loser of the match.

Freeze Clause
This is mainly used in controlled environments, such as Shoddy, Battle Revolution, and the upcoming Competitor. It means that only one Pokemon on either team may be frozen at once. No exceptions.

No Disconnecting
On Wi-Fi, you can't Disconnect when you're about to lose.

No Hacks
This bans all Pokemon that are not obtained completely without help from external devices, such as Action Replay. Hacks within the legal boundaries are allowed most of the time, but if you come across this, ask whether legal hacks are allowed or not. Obviously, 999 Defense Blissey and WonderTomb are banned.

Those cover all of the clauses that are commonly used. Feel free to suggest more and I shall Edit them in if they are sensible. Other spelling / grammar suggestions and the like will also be taken a look at. Things like Legend Clause will be ignored. **Please sticky**
