I'm pretty sure they only change every day - but there's a trick you can do with the clock on the DS that changes the day/time and you can trick the game into thinking its a different day, but a friend of mine told me if you do that, it takes like 4-6 hours for it to actually "change" days and for the new daily events to occur.

I think if you change the time to 11:59 pm it works.

Save in front of the girl. Now, turn your DS clock to 11:59 PM. Shut down your DS, and turn it back on. Talk to the girl when the clock strikes 12. If you don't like the swarm, turn off and on your DS. Change the date to the next/previous day, and the time to 11:59. Rinse and repeat.
