There is much blatant 'Whore Posting' or 'Post Whoring' or whichever you want to call it, here at TLF and in my opinion, it somewhat ruins the organization that effort has been put towards implementing in this site.

My idea is to quell the stream of posts such as this one from Wiik23 in the miscellaneous Pokemon discussion board:

The way we do this is by simply changing the Post Count system into a Karma system, like GameFAQs'. For posting in a board that's not the Trash Can, you can get 1 post added to your post count each day. Once each user had gotten their one karma for the day, there's no need to go around whoring and, hence, achievement.

If that was done, you'd probably need to reduce the number of posts required for a Custom Title again, or people would have to post daily for most of a year to get one. Or not.

So, copying GameFAQs, what do you think?

I would prefer the karma system, since I don't post that much. More of an irc user myself.

No. I hate the Karma system on GameFAQs. Its so bloody boring. I don't want it here. This site has mods does it not? Let them deal with the post whores. Simply give them a warning and deduct 100 posts instantly. If they still don't comply - ban them.

Whatever is done I hope to hell and back that Karma is not introduced the way it works on GameFAQS. I have to make six fucking accounts for the first days in order to post all that I wanted too. Almost made me go crazy.

Maybe a little off-topic, but what I wanna know is, is bumping your RMT in the RMT forum considered post-whoring? I've seen a lot of RMTs on that board go ignored without a response, or at least without one that's actually meaningful. Seems like Zero's goal has yet to be achieved...

Like Silver Millenium said, we'll just deal with post whoring by lowering people's post count/warning them/suspending them/banning them (in case things really get out of hand). There's not going to be a karma system here, because IMO that really sucks.

Whatever you do, DON'T implement the Karma system. Just get rid of those titles and people will stop post-whoring or whatever you want to call it.
