Forum - You know what would make Libelldra feel friendlier
0 | I've been thinking about the mass of inactive members, and what we can do to help prevent future ones. My proposal is for the website to encourage its users to PM newcomers (if they haven't introduced themselves on the Introduction board already) and thank them for joining. I think once newcomers overcome the initial shock, they'll become more active members. Well, anyway, that's my proposal. >_> |

0 | I think people may be a little shocked if they get about 20 PMs all saying "welcome." If anything, that'll scare 'em away, rather than make them feel accepted, IMO... Besides, that's why we have an "Introductions" board. For newcomers to introduce themselves, and for us to welcome them.
And I disagree, our current scheme is excellent. |

I love the current skin. Any lighter and it would be too bright. For Instance the smogon skin hurts my eyes (not bashing the site). Also, I don't think Fant will like the idea. I could be wrong though. |

0 | I just joined and I got a couple PM's from Users. They were pretty positive and made you feel good. Breloom's welcomed me and suggested I made a topic on the Introduction board. I personally thought it was neat, and I am sure future members will like it. Not overwhelming welcome, but like the ones I got. |

Because it's not very friendly... There's bad advertising, as well as good. If you PM a new user in a friendly way, they'll be more likely to join and less likely to smear our name in the mud. |
