| | Level: 1 | Pharaoh Shot is one of the best weapons in that game for sure, if not the best. I used it to fight Drill Man so I could get the Rush Jet early to make Ring Man's stage easier. Of course, it wasn't needed as direly as in Heat Man's or Magnet Man's stages, but hey, it's the Rush Jet for crying out loud.
But TBH, I never fought Pharaoh Man without the Flash Stopper, because I only played MM4 once. It's just so freaking cheap. Sure, it works on only one Robot Master, but for going through stages it's probably one of the best panic buttons in the series so far (and by so far I mean the six NES games).
At any rate, though, I managed to beat Burst Man by using an E-tank (I don't think I've ever seen one, but for some reason I had THREE), and Cloud Man was a complete joke with Danger Wrap (or, as I like to call it, what Bubble Lead should've been all along). It really WAS as harmless as Pharaoh Man with the Flash Stopper. Next up is Junk Man... I've heard that the Junk Shield is just plain junk instead of a miserable scrap heap like the previous shield weapons (to the questionable exception of the Leaf Shield, which did come in handy at times), but still nothing like that shield from MM9 which I forget the name of because I haven't played it yet. | | #1062

| | Level: 1 | ScrewAttack had a feature on the 10 worst Robot Masters, and #1 was Plant Man. While I can't disagree that Plant Man sucks... what was Top Man doing at #7? Lamest Robot Master, lamest weapon in the entire series (though there WERE easier fights than this one)... and then, while they go and openly mock Charge Kick and Top Spin, not a SINGLE WORD on the Plant Barrier, which rivals them in sheer uselessness. Heck, they bring up how the Power Stone sucks, then proceed to show a player attempting to kill something that's right in front of him with it! Jesus... the Power Stone has a niche, and it's killing something that's anywhere BUT straight ahead! Sure, there are weapons that do it much better in other games, like Rain Flush or Centaur Flash, but in Megaman 5, what were you going to use for that? | | #1066 | | |

| | Level: 1 | Yeah, Hard Knuckle eats several late bosses like popcorn. Sucks against enemies that like to move, but if you're a sitting duck (or Top Man) it'll make you pay.
And the Power Stone wouldn't have had much use had it been in most other games (especially 2, 4 and 6), but it reaches places no other weapon in MM5 can, and kills enemies long before they become a threat to you. Water Wave? Straight ahead. Star Crash? Straight ahead, Gyro Attack? Straight ahead. Napalm Bomb? On the floor in front of you. Crystal Eye? Unusable in most of the situations where I used the Power Stone. Gravity Hold? Good luck with THAT. Charge Kick? Surely you jest.
Edit: Oh dear... this is my lucky day. What do I mean by that? Once again, YouTube's being an ass, but I'll try and get the new video up tomorrow. This is truly awesome.
Edit 2: There we go. Mecha birdie go!

Edit 3: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKK
Go take a look at Chugga's latest video, and check out the related videos. Yeah, I'm so screwed.
And... did I just see fiery Quick Man lasers in Turbo Man's stage? Without any time-stopping device? Super. I get the feeling I'm gonna be stuck there for a long time! BTW, I'm totally in love with the Junk Shield. You sure the Jewel Satellite is better? | | #1068

| | Level: 1 | Umm, layout? I was referring to the fact that the two videos at the top of the list are MINE! That means Chugga fanboys are coming for me! Okay, maybe it's not that harsh, but I AM getting a spike in subscriptions, and I got insulted by some douche who clearly found my videos through Chugga's channel.
And TSF's telling me I have the only finished LP of Crystal... I'm having a hard time believing it, since it's so popular. I can sort of understand Ken's Labyrinth, since it's obscure, but Pokémon Crystal? Well, at any rate, this isn't going to last long! Only as long as Chugga takes to beat the game - which will probably NOT be 149 videos. | | #1070

With all due respect, how the fuck was I supposed to even make the faintest of connections to that just by seeing two of your vids on a relateds list, let alone see it as something awful? I watch one person's LPs. Yours. I'm not familiar with this chuggaconroy person or any of his videos or fanboys or whatnot, or why that would tie into something bad. So when you said "check out the related videos" I thought you were referring to how the page was now laid out, as per YouTube's revamping the site, and finding the result ugly. Seeing as we were both in ire over what they did with the channel pages. That said, it doesn't explain why I actually searched this guy's name on Youtube and looked at his channel to then click on his most recent video, rather than just saying "Huh?" | | #1071

| | Level: 1 | One of the reasons Chugga is not all the fanboys make him out to be:
He cuts out so much from the game in the name of 'professionalism'. His job isn't to entertain, like most LPers, but to make something that can be used as a walkthrough. (Kind of pointless given the effectiveness of text-based walkthroughs, but I suppose they'd be good for people who are too lazy to read.) I mean, look at Wind Waker. He sped up the Savage Labyrinth, not even commentating over the toughest fights. He skipped over almost ALL of the sailing, and rigidly structured everything he did in that game. In my opinion, that makes an LP less enjoyable. Now, he's going to do Crystal, but his LP will be infinitely inferior to yours for two reasons:
1. He skips all trainer battles. 2. He talks mostly about the game, which provides very little worth commentary-wise in the long run.
Now, his editing improves his work somewhat, but it still remains boring and uninteresting because of how seriously he takes it. He also treats his audience like children... Probably because that's what makes up 99% of his fanbase. You won't see him going into IVs, EVs, natures, or things like that. | | #1072

| | Level: 1 | Although I can understand cutting out the sailing, speeding up the Savage Labyrinth was a huge letdown. There's so much room for commentary. Even in the first floors, no need for four Darknuts to make something interesting. Had I done a Wind Waker LP, I guarantee I would've left everything intact. Not skipping a second of that place.
Of course, I do cut out stuff sometimes, the latest case being a trip from Rustboro to the Trick House (which conveniently happened between two videos, no less), but that's because you don't need to see every last step of backtracking I do, you all know a level 32 Combusken can humiliate those wild Whismurs.
But anyway, anyone up for an icy treat?

Edit: Or maybe I can interest you in an ashy treat?

| | Level: 1 | Speaking of missing MegaMan in relation to traction, it may interest you to know that one of the most annoying enemies in MM10 are slug-like Mets that shoot blobs of goo at you, which stick to you on contact and linger a long while. They do no damage whatsoever.
No, they just murder your traction. Whenever you move, you slide like crazy. Whenever you get hit, you slide backward like crazy. Forget about stopping. Naturally, these things infest areas with plenty of pits to fall into and plenty of enemies that are able to harass you from wherever you stand.
During the second half of the level, should you opt to take a lower underwater route, you get to deal not only with these things, but current that constantly pushes you anyway, which only magnifies the issue.
The fun doesn't end there. These enemies are reactive and won't pop up to let you kill them unless you don't shoot, which makes them duck under their helmets. To kill them you must bait a shot, let them fire, and quickly shoot the blob directly in front (it launches three, which fan out) then again to peg the Met before it ducks again.
They love to put these things in places you can't immediately reach, so they can effectively fire at you from angles while you make jumps and deal with enemies above them. Or below them, as their slug bodies allows them to cling to the ceiling and creep along it.
That said, you don't learn to hate these things until hard mode (on top of being put to better use in underwater areas, they're also added to a low-gravity environment full of those drill bits from mm2, which you'll slide and crash into if you aren't careful, among other things.) | | #1078
